Different Types of Communities!

It was nice to have a full day today so we could run through our whole schedule!  The students had Art and P.E. for specials and got to have two recesses.

We've learned about three types of communities:  Urban, suburban, and rural.  Today we turned our classroom into and urban community and a suburban community.  The pictures below show what it looked like.  Have your second grader tell you why each community type looks the way it does.

Had to share the picture below.  Iris shared her pink sunglasses with her friend Kennady.  They were very stylish at recess (and their eyes were protected from harmful UV rays, too!).
